I have Been Union. For John Gage. 2010 (BORN UNION) (Chorus) I have been union since my beginning days. I was born union and raised that way. When we would sit down for supper, My dad he would pray... Thank God and the union for our bread and butter today. Workers have built this country, From California to Maine. Politicians and their divisions, How much longer can we take this strain? When you look toward Washington, You see them pointing their fingers all around. All we seem to hear is a gigantic sucking sound. Chorus These Corporations are so great, With their media campaigns. Demonizing their workers whenever they start to complain. Power to the people, I have heard it said. While these CEO's and Government are sharing the same bed. Chorus When you turn over the tag on your clothes, And see where they're made. And you pop open the hood of your American car And the parts are Mexican made. I just wonder what they're thinking up on Capitol Hill, While they're trying to get us hooked on blood money, oil and pills.

Nashville Star JPW for Shannon Lawson 2009 I’m sitting down Here in Nashville and There ain’t nothin’ on T.V. And I’m watching these country musicians but they don’t look a thing like me. Well I don't have a 5 o clock shadow, And I don't wear pressed Blue Jeans and My boots don't shine like the stars in the sky, well if that’s country then that’s not me. I wake up early in the morning and Drive through the traffic of the day. Well my Limo may not be very fancy, but this ol truck has been good to me. I’m to old to be an American Idol, But to my wife I’m her Nashville star. My son runs my fan club. Thank you fans where ever you are. I have never owned a cowboy hat. Just this Ball cap, just the same. I’m from Kentucky, not Tennessee! And all that sparkle and glitter looks like Beverly Hills to me! Well this thing I’m tryin’ to say I think country has gone away. I would rather be listening to that ol County music like my dad and my uncles used to play.
